CURRY 大好き!

Hi everyone!
Back to my food diary here, and so excited to tell you guys some awesome food that you might like and want to try. So let's check the food!

Today i'm going to share to you, my experience and critics about this awesome curry rice shop in Neo Soho Mall, West Jakarta, who specially sells only Japanese Curry Rice or  カレーライス. It's called COCO ICHIBANYA.

Coco Ichibanya restaurant was first build in 1982 in Japan, and in 2016 at Neo Soho Mall, West Jakarta, Indonesia. I was accidentally just walk in front of the restaurant when i was walking at the mall with my family. At that time we're just about to look for dinner and we're just craving for curry rice. So when we saw Coco Ichibanya Restaurant, we just walk right in :D That was the first time i went to Coco Ichibanya.

Actually I've been coming a lot to this restaurant for quite some time XD. Curry Rice is one of my favorite food, so when i saw that there is a restaurant whom speciality is Japanese Curry Rice, I just can't wait to try it out.

When i'm at the restaurant, I asked the waiter, what is the favorite menu in this restaurant, and he said that there are some favorite menu that customers really like:

1. Chicken Cutlet and Vegetable Curry
2. Beef Hamburger, Sausage, and Spinach Curry
3. Minced Bacon Cutlet and Cheese Curry
4. Chicken Cutlet Omelet Curry
5. Cheese Hamburg Curry

The first time i went here, i tried the Chicken Cutlet Omelet Curry cause the waiter told me that it was the most favorite menu that month, so i gave it a try. When the food comes, i gotta say, it smells so good, like so good. The presentation was nothing special, just like any other curry rice i've seen before. But the color of the omelet was really shiny. i don't know is it because of the lighting of the restaurant or do the color of the omelet was really that yellow XD. When i tasted it, i can't say anymore words. The curry was really delicious, the spiciness was really hits the spot too. It's not too spicy but not too mild either, it really has balance in it. I really like it. The chicken cutlet was really juicy and crunchy too. It's also delicious. The omelet was really fluffy too.

What i would like to critic about this curry rice is that the omelet was actually bland. Even though the omelet was bland, i still like it, maybe if it tasted like sweet omelet, i would like it even more. The proportion between the rice and the chicken cutlet was really unbalanced. The chicken was actually kinda big if i have to say but the rice was kinda small. But overall i enjoyed eating here and the food was really delicious.

Every time i came to this restaurant i would try different menu, but the one that i really like is this Chicken Cutlet Omelet Rice.

For the price i think it was a bit expensive for a student. The price for all of the menu approximately between Rp.50.000,- - Rp.80.000,-. Some curry rice might be higher than that, depends on what topping that you put your curry rice, but i have to say, this price is worth it for the curry rice that i've already tried.

For today's food, i would like to give 8.5/10 stars

  3. Do you know that Coco Ichibanya first opened their shop at Grand Indonesia before Neo Soho? My sister told me about the Grand Indoneia's one before Coco Ichibanya opened their shop at Neo Soho. By the way, I really shocked when my sister--who tried the Japan's Coco Ichibanya before--told me that the Coco Ichibanya's curry here and the Japan's one tasted the same when another Japanese cuisine's restaurant tasted better on Japan. Indonesia Coco Ichibanya did a really amazing job. X"D
Oh, and I agree about the omelet. It's kinda bland, but I still like it. Actually it's kinda good because the curry tasted good so I could care less about the omelet. Ah, it's really good that you can eat spicy food. I want to try too, but my tongue can't really accept spicy things. Well, it just me who scared to try though. :(
Sorry for the long comment! You did an awesome review!
